Get DOT-compliant Environmental Product Declarations for every asphalt mix, without slowing production.
Stay compliant with DOT specs and Buy Clean rules while you keep asphalt trucks rolling.
Asphalt plants already track tons, fuel, and binder — just in scattered tickets and spreadsheets. We bring that data together and standardize it for verified Environmental Product Declarations. No extra work, no new systems.
DOT specs and PCRs for asphalt are updated every few years. Miss one revision and your EPD may not qualify for a bid. We track every update — from PCR changes to new Buy Clean laws — so your EPDs stay valid and compliant wherever you bid.
Buy Clean policies are here — California, Colorado, and others now require asphalt EPDs for public projects. We make sure yours meets every spec so you can bid confidently and prove compliance before your competitors.
We fit our process around your schedule. You keep the plant running while we handle the analysis remotely. No downtime — just a verified, ready-to-submit EPD delivered without disrupting production.
Not all Environmental Product Declarations are equal. We make yours credible and transparent, by following the accepted asphalt PCR and third-party verification. DOTs and contractors can trust your numbers, not question them.
Environmental Product Declarations are now required for most state and federal paving projects. Having them ready keeps you bid-eligible and sets you apart. We also make sure your EPDs appear so DOTs and contractors find you first.
Backed by a decade of asphalt and Environmental Product Declaration expertise — here’s what asphalt producers ask us most.
We use your existing systems and work completely remotely — no downtime, no added workload. Your team keeps paving while we manage data collection, modeling, and verification behind the scenes.
Buy Clean programs are quickly expanding across the country with many Western and Northeastern states already having policies enacted, as well as Minnesota and Colorado. We keep you informed of any updates and ensure your EPDs meet every new rule so you can bid confidently and stay ahead of policy changes.
Absolutely. More DOT and federal projects now require asphalt EPDs. Having one ready makes you bid-eligible and more competitive. We also help you publish your EPD in state databases so buyers can find you.
In North America, products are modeled using a “cradle-to-gate” system boundary — from quarrying aggregates and producing binder to the asphalt mix leaving your plant (aka the "gate"). This "cradle-to-gate" boundary is aligned with the North American asphalt PCR and makes your EPD complete, defensible, and easy to explain to clients and inspectors. In the EU, the c-PCR is aligned with EN 15804 and requires the inclusion of additional life cycle stages: production (A1-A3), construction (A4-A5), end-of-life (C1-C4), and benefits/loads beyond the system boundary (D). Other regions may require additional stages of the life cycle to be reported, depending on regional PCR requirements.
Yes. We prepare asphalt EPDs to comply with the accepted asphalt PCR and obtain an independent verification of primary data, ensuring the EPD will be credible and interoperable. EPDs should not be treated as direct apples-to-apples comparisons unless they follow meet comparability criteria.
Creating EPDs on your own without LCA experts can take months and cost thousands per document. Working with our LCA experts, we can turn your plant data into an EPD and send it for verification in days or weeks with minimal involvement from your staff and at a predictable cost. The independent third-party verification is typically billed separately and can add a few weeks to the complete turnaround time.
Asphalt has its own PCR in North America, created by NAPA, defining what to include and how to calculate impacts. It’s updated every five years, and we track all changes — including DOT or Buy Clean updates — to keep your EPD compliant and current.
You already track most of what’s needed — aggregate types and amounts, binder usage, burner fuel, electricity, and haul distances. We use your existing plant data and mix records to calculate verified environmental impacts without extra reporting.
